Edit settings of the application

In the element ‘Settings’ under ‘Content’ you can edit the settings of the application. The element contains several tabs. Each tab is discussed separately in this article.

General

In this tab, you can edit the following things:

• Name of the app – In this field you can edit the name of the app.
• Background image – Here you can choose an image that serves as background image of the app. Click on ‘choose image’. You will see a pop-up with the Files Application. Here you can choose from the images already uploaded to the Files Application, or upload an image from your local files. Click on ‘save’ after choosing an image.
• Background color overlay - When you select this option, a filter in the primary color, selected in the tab 'Theme', will be used to cover the background image. When you use a background image, the white icons of the different modules may be less visible. You can fix this by adding the background color overlay.
• Languages – Behind ‘Activated languages’ you can select the languages in which the app should be available. In the field ‘Default language’ you can select the default language of the app.

Click on ‘save’ to confirm the changes.

Theme

In this tab you can make several settings for the graphics of the mobile app. These settings will be used for the first release of the app. If you edit these settings after the first release, they will be visible in the app after the next store update.

You can edit the colors and the logos. You can also choose the font that should be used in the app. The available options are ‘system font of the device’ and ‘sans-serif’.

Click on ‘save’ after making the changes.

Privacy

In this tab, you can indicate for each profile type to which extend the profile information should be visible in the app. To do this, select the profile type for which you want to make the settings first. Then indicate the following things:

• Whether users can exclude themselves from visibility in the app. If you want users to be able to exclude themselves from visibility, you need a check box in the Organization application (e.g. ‘Exclude in app’), based on which is determined whether the profile is excluded. Learn how to create a new field in the Organization. Select the correct field behind ‘Exclusion field’. If exclusion is not possible, select ‘Users can not exclude themselves’.
• Whether further information about profiles should be visible. If this is the case, you need a check box in the Organization application (e.g. ‘Expanded profile app’), based on which users allow their information to be visible in the app. Learn how to create a new field in the Organization. In the tab ‘Profile’, you can indicate whether a field should only be displayed in an expanded profile.

Click on ‘save’ to confirm the settings.

Profile

In this tab, for each type of user you can indicate which fields should be displayed on the profile page in the members list. Read more about this here.

My profile

In this tab, for each type of user you can indicate which fields users can edit themselves on the my-profile page. Read more about this here.

About the app

Here you can add and edit information about the app. This information can be found under ‘Settings’ in the mobile app.

Privacy statement

Here you can add and edit the privacy statement of the app. The privacy statement can be found under ‘Settings’ in the mobile app.

EULA

In this tab you can add the End User License Agreement.
