Direct ticket sales

Through direct ticket sales, the threshold for registration can be greatly reduced, as it makes registration a lot easier for the participant. There are two options for direct ticket sales. The first is to create an Order URL, which generates a URL through which the participant can easily register with one push of a button. The second is the use of Direct Ticketing, where a registration button can be included in an email.

Order URL

The URL takes the participant to a web page on which some essential information is visible, such as the description, price, date and location. In particular, it is possible for the participant to immediately register for the event by pressing the 'Register' button.

An Order URL can be created on an event dashboard, the first screen visible after selecting the event. The 'Order URL' button is visible at the top of this screen. When you click on this, you can choose between all members in order to create the Order URL for a specific member. Once the URL has been created it is possible to copy it or visit it directly.

Direct Ticketing

With Direct Ticketing, you can let users register directly for an event after clicking a register button in an email. You compose the e-mail containing the event in the Communication application. To be able to use Direct Ticketing, you therefore need access to both the Events and the Communication application in your package.

Composing an email with Direct Ticketing

You can import an event to your email by choosing the block type "Event" in Communication. Then choose an item from the list of current events. The system will import the title, image and description of the event. You can then customize this content for use in your email.

Conditions for including an event in e-mail

Based on the ticket options, groups and reservation periods you have set, the system can filter the beneficiary list and content of the email for you. You have two options:

  • Only show this event if the beneficiary can register now or in the future.
  • Only show this event if the beneficiary is not yet registered.

Based on these conditions, it is determined for each beneficiary whether (the block of) the event is included in the email.

What if no events can be shown for a recipient?

If one or both "conditions for inclusion" is checked, it is possible that a beneficiary will not see any of the inserted events. This would result in a blank email. In that case, this beneficiary will be skipped when sending and he/she will not receive an e-mail.

Pleae note: the skipping of recipients happens even if other block types (f.e. Text) were added to the email.
