App message feeds
If you have the Mobile App, the “App Message Feeds” option will be visible under “Communication” in the Events Tree. These app message feeds allow you to create different feeds for an event, provided that the event has an event environment in the app. See this article for instructions on creating an event environment for an event in the app. Using these feeds, you can distribute messages in the admin panel and in the app that will appear under the ‘Notifications’ tab in the Event environment within the app.
Creating an app message feed
Go to “App message feeds” and click “Add.” Here, you can first name the feed and specify whether the feed should be displayed on the admin dashboard.
Under ‘Functions’, you can then select the functions members have in this message feed. Here you can specify whether members can like messages, whether members can post messages themselves, whether attachments can be sent when posting messages, and whether members can reply to messages. By default, only administrators can post messages.
Under “Enable for,” you can select the ticket options (or, if the program module is available, the programs) for which the message feed will be visible to a member. This allows for different feeds for each ticket option (or program), enabling you to choose who receives which information.
Click “Save” to create the app message feed.
Posting Messages
Administrators can then post messages in the app itself, under “Notifications” in the relevant Events environment, in the admin panel under “App Message Feeds” by clicking on the feed’s name, and—if this option is checked—on the dashboard.
In these locations, you can view, manage, and moderate the message feed, just as you can for any other message feed.
