Working with guests at an event
Scenario
You are organizing an event where members can bring a guest. You want to allow members to reserve an extra ticket for a guest. This way, you will have a good overview of all attendees of your event and how many attendees are members and guests.
Settings
Configure the event as usual. The following settings are necessary for guests:
- Two different ticket options: ‘Normal’ for members, and ‘Guest’.
- Create groups. According to the scenario above, both ticket options can only be reserved by members. In this case, only add the group ‘Members’.
- Create reservation periods for the added groups.
- Indicate the prices for the ticket options in the reservation periods.
These settings will allow members to reserve a ticket for themselves as well as for a guest.
Advanced settings
Reservation limitation: limit the amount of guests per person
If members are only allowed to bring a limited number of guests (e.g. only their partner), you need to set up a reservation limit for the ticket option ‘guest’.
Form: gather information about the guests
If you need more information about the guests, e.g. their name and address, you can create a form in which you ask for this information. Link the form to the ticket option ‘guest’. After adding this ticket option to their cart, the member ordering the tickets will have to fill out the form. You can view and download the answers from the form.
