Add programs
Under ‘Program’ in the Events tree, you can create the programs of an event: a program is the ‘empty shell’ of part of the event, e.g. ‘day 1’. They can later be further specified in ‘Schedule’.
To create a program, click on ‘Program’ in the Events tree and click on ‘Add’ in the toolbar. You will see a new screen with several fields that need to be filled in.
Properties
- Name – Enter the name of the program (e.g. ‘Day 1’)
- Begin date – Enter the date and time of the start of the program.
- End date – Enter the date and time of the end of the program.
- Activate when ordering the ticket option – Select the ticket options for which this program should be activated.
Publish program
Enter the date and time on which this program should be published on the website.
Activities registration
In the field ‘Registration closes on’, you can indicate until when participants can register for activities in this program. The field ‘combine preferences with’ only appears when at least one other program has been created. You can use this option to indicate with which program the preferences of participants should be combined. If you leave this option empty, all programs will be handled separately in the allocation process.
Activate
The program will be activated when a user orders the the ticket options you indicated under ‘Properties’. Here you can indicate whether participation is optional. If it is optional, the program will not automatically be activated for the relevant ticket options, but participants can choose whether they want to activate it. Another option is to automatically activate the program for the relevant ticket options, but allow participants to deactivate it. You can also choose to only communicate the program to participants who are scheduled for activities in the program.
Click ‘save’ to confirm. The program is now created and appears in the general overview of programs.
