Divide up a timeslot into activities

Timeslots of the following types can be divided up into activities:

  • Participant chooses an activity before start of event FULL-FULL;
  • Participant chooses multiple activities before start of event (FULL-FULL);
  • Participant cannot choose or indicate preference
  • Participant indicates preference before start of event
  • General timeslots

To add activities to a timeslot, go to the schedule of the program in which the timeslot is located. Click on the title of the timeslot. You will see a new page with an overview of all activities that were added to the timeslot. In the toolbar, hover over ‘Add’. You can now choose between ‘Single activity’ and ‘Repeating activity’. A single activity is an activity that takes place once. A repeating activity is an activity that is repeated a number of times in succession.

Single activity

To add a single activity, click on ‘Single activity’ under ‘Add’ in the toolbar. You will then see a page with the following fields:

  • Activity – Choose the activity you want to add. You can choose from all activities that were created in the element ‘Activities’.
  • Room – Choose the room in which the activity will take place. The room has to have been created in the element ‘Rooms’ in the events tree.
  • Capacity – Here, enter the maximum number of participants that can take part in the activity. If the number of participants is equal to the capacity of the room itself, you can leave this field empty.

Click on ‘save’ to confirm. The activity has been added to the timeslot and appears in the overview of activities of this timeslot.

Repeating activity

To add a repeating activity, click on ‘Repeating activity’ under ‘Add’ in the toolbar. You will then see a page with the following fields:

  • Activity – Choose the activity you want to add. You can choose from all activities that were created in the element ‘Activities’.
  • Room – Choose the room in which the activity will take place. The room has to have been created in the element ‘Rooms’ in the events tree.
  • Capacity – Here, enter the maximum number of participants that can take part in the activity. If the number of participants is equal to the capacity of the room itself, you can leave this field empty.

Period

  • Begin time – Choose the date and time on which the activity begins.
  • Repeat every (in minutes) – Enter the number of minutes after which the activity should repeat. For example, if you enter ‘15’, the activity will start over every 15 minutes.
  • Break – Enter how many minutes of break should be scheduled between each repeat.
    The length of the break is added to the length of the activity. If you entered 15 minutes in ‘Repeat every’ and 5 minutes in ‘Break’, the activity will repeat every 20 minutes.
  • Maximum number of times – Enter the amount of times the activity should repeat. If you do not indicate a maximum, the activity will repeat itself until the end of the timeslot.

Click on ‘save’ to confirm. The activities have been added to the timeslot and appear in the overview of activities of this timeslot.
