How do I make a backup?
Genkgo makes a daily backup of all databases belonging to an account. Administrators can also make backups themselves in the element ‘System’ under ‘Backups’.
Here you can:
- Make a new backup;
- See wich backups have been made;
- See when the backups were made;
- Restore a backup.
Restoring backups must be done with great care!
What do backups include?
When you make a backup, all information from the database belonging to your installation at that moment in time is saved. This includes all information from all applications. It does not include uploaded files such as photo’s and banners.
Making a backup
We highly recommend making a backup before making changes in the Admin that may yield loss of data, for example if you want to work on the fields of a profile.
Restoring a backup
Restoring backups must be done with great care!
Restoring a backup means that all data from all applications will be restored to the point in time when the backup was made. All changes made from that moment until now will be lost. At the moment, it is not possible to restore a backup of your own selection of applications. Therefore, don’t wait too long to restore a backup.
