Accreditation module
The Accreditation module is a module within the Organization application where points can be awarded to members based on trainings or meetings attended. This can be useful, for example, when members need to attend further training or meet a certain training requirement. Within the Accreditation module it is possible to create trainings and courses, place them in categories and check the entered trainings and courses of members.
Creating and categorizing trainings and courses
To access the Accreditation module, click on 'Accreditation' within the Organization application under the Organization tree, whether or not under the 'Extensions' collection button. When 'Definitions' is then clicked, it becomes possible to add 'Categories' and 'Training and Courses'.
When adding a category under the 'Categories' heading, it is only necessary to enter the name of the category.
When adding training or education under the heading "Training and Education", first, it is possible to add a name. It is also possible to name an organization that provides the training. Then it is possible to place the training within one of the previously added categories. The training can be assigned a number of points. This number of points is given to members who have done this training in the accreditation module.
Entering trainings and courses as a member
Under 'My Profile' under 'My Accreditation' a member can pass on trainings that they have completed. By passing this training it becomes visible to the administrator and can be checked. When a training is verified, it also becomes visible to the member under 'My Accreditation'.
A member can pass on a training by clicking on 'Create' under 'My Accreditation'. It is then possible to choose one of the created trainings, and select on which date it was taken. It is then also possible to add a short description. Finally, it is required to upload a proof of registration or certificate, so that the administrator can assess the validity of the training.
Checking imported trainings and courses
As an administrator, in the Accreditation module in the Organization application all entered trainings can be viewed. Also, the entered trainings can be viewed per member in the member's profile under 'Accreditation'. By clicking on the blue text, the administrator can view the entered training, and then by clicking on the 'Download' button the attached certificate or other document can be viewed. If, after viewing this document and the other data entered, the training is approved, by entering a date at 'Checked for' it can be indicated that this training has been checked. For the member it is then visible which trainings have been checked and how many points it has already accumulated.
Importing points from the Events application
It is possible to award points in the Accreditation module to all attendees of an event that has taken place. To do this, certificates must first be assigned to participants at the event under the 'Attendance' section. Read how certificates are awarded to participants in this article. Certificates can be awarded individually or to a group. When awarding a certificate to a group, it can be determined how many points a member receives for each part in which that person was present. For certificates awarded individually to a member, a number of points can be assigned manually. The number of points in this section will thus be transferred to the Accreditation module.
The points can be transferred to the Accreditation module when all members have been assigned a certificate. When this is the case, an additional option called 'Save Points to Accreditation' will appear under the drop-down titled 'Certificate'. When this option is selected it will first prompt you to place the event in one of the previously added categories. Then when 'Import' is clicked the points are immediately saved in the Accreditation module. The training is then automatically verified.
