Message Feed
The Message Feed focuses on text and messages. It is a feed that can best be compared to a Twitter or LinkedIn feed. A Message Feed can be placed in the app, the members' section of the website, and the admin dashboard.
Adding a Message Feed
Message Feeds can be added by the administrator in the Organization application, under the ‘Feeds’ tab. A Message Feed can be added by clicking on ‘Add’. First, a name must be given to the Feed, and it must be determined whether the Feed should be private or public. A private Message Feed can only be displayed on the dashboard. Finally, you must determine whether the Message Feed should be displayed on the dashboard. If a Message Feed is not displayed on the dashboard, it is not possible to moderate the messages.
Once a Message Feed has been created, it is possible to enable or disable certain functionalities by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of the relevant Message Feed in the Organization application. This allows you to enable or disable the ability to add attachments to messages, like messages, post messages yourself, and respond to messages in a thread.
Selecting Message Feeds
A message feed can be selected in the app by creating a module and selecting the ‘Message Feed’ module. You can then select a Message Feed that has been created in the Organization application and set the name of this Feed in the app. You can also set the app to send a push notification when a message is sent. Depending on the age of the website, it may or may not be possible to place the message feed directly on the website using a module block.
Content in the Message Feed
Members can post messages in a message feed, to which other members can then respond. Members can also like messages or responses to them.
Members can add photos and files to messages as attachments. When a link is placed in the text, it is also displayed attractively using OpenGraph.
In the admin, administrators can view the various dashboards on the dashboard. Administrators can moderate message feeds here by editing or deleting posted messages. It is also possible to add messages to the dashboard itself in the admin by clicking on the large plus sign.
