2. Configure Genkgo Organization

Your file is now ready to be imported. However, before you do this, Genkgo Organization needs to be configured correctly. Follow the steps below to configure the Organization.

Login to the Admin and go to the Organization Application. In Settings → Fields & Properties, create a field for each column in the file(s) with personal data. Note the following points:

  • Before adding fields, you need to create the correct categories. Fields are grouped into these categories. Learn more about creating categories.
  • After creating categories, you can add fields. Learn more about creating fields.
  • Make sure the fields are added to the correct object (Person, Company, Member). These objects are independent and all have their own fields.
  • Assign the exact same name to the fields as to the column in your file.
  • It is always possible to move fields to another category. To do this, click on ‘Category’ behind the field and select the category to which you want to move the field.
