Manage retention periods

Retention periods for information in the Organization can be set by performing advanced search queries (read more about creating a retention period). You can manage existing retention periods in the tab ‘Retention periods’ in the element ‘Privacy’ in the Organization tree. This tab gives an overview of all retention periods.

Adjusting a retention period

When creating a retention period, it is important to give it a clear descriptive name so that the purpose of the retention period can easily be recognized later on. However, it is possible to change the name of the retention period here. Click on  on the right side of the retention period in the overview. You will now see a new screen with the current name of the retention period. Fill in the new name and click ‘Save’ to confirm.

You will see the changes in the overview.

Deleting a retention period

To delete a retention period, click on  on the right side of the retention period in the overview. A new screen will now appear with the question whether you are sure you want to delete the retention period. Click ‘Delete’ to confirm or ‘Back’ to cancel.

Remember that by deleting a retention period, you cannot undo actions that are already carried out.
