Save search query as dynamic group

In the Organization, you can compose groups based on fixed criteria. These groups are called ‘dynamic groups’, and can be created by saving search queries. Any profile that meets the fixed criteria of the search query is added to the dynamic group and deleted from the dynamic group when it does not meet the criteria anymore. When a new profile is added and it meets the criteria, it will automatically be added to the dynamic group.

Examples

Creating dynamic groups may be convenient if, for example, you want to group:

• All persons living in Amsterdam
• All vegetarians
• All persons older than 18
• Foreign companies

Create a dynamic group

In an advanced search query, indicate the criteria for the dynamic group:

1. Perform an advanced search query.
2. If you performed the search query correctly and there are profiles that meet the criteria, you will see a list of results in the main screen. To save this search query as a dynamic group, go to ‘group’ in the toolbar and choose ‘Create dynamic group’.
3. Name the dynamic group and select the folder in which the dynamic group should be located.
4. Click ‘Save’ to create the dynamic group.

The dynamic group is created. You are being redirected to the members tab within the dynamic group. Here, the members of the group are displayed. The group will automatically be updated when changes are made to profiles in the Organization.
