Save search query as static group

The results of a search query can be saved into a static group. Static groups can be used to export and edit with another program, or in the Communication Application as addressees.

Static groups and dynamic groups are not the same. Dynamic groups are saved advanced search queries that are updated based on the criteria of the search query. A static group does not update automatically: members can be added and deleted manually.

How do I create a static group?

1. Perform an (advanced) search query.
2. Go to ‘group’ in the toolbar and choose ‘Create static group’.
3. Name the group.
4. Indicate where the group should be located in the Organization tree.
5. Click ‘Save’.

The results of the search query are now saved into a static group. You are being redirected to the group you just created.
