Access to tabs of objects

When creating a role, you can already indicate to which applications the role has access and which actions it can undertake in these applications (read, write, delete, unlimited). However, as roles with access to the Organization can access all information of all objects in the Organization, it might be necessary to further specify the rights of these roles to prevent privacy issues.

In ‘Access to tabs’ in ‘Settings’, you can place further restrictions on the access of roles.

When you click on the element ‘Access to tabs’, it will unfold in a list of all organisation objects, such as members and groups. When you click on an object, in the main part of the screen, all tabs that belong to the object will be displayed. For example, when you click on ‘member’, you will see the tabs ‘Profile’, ‘Main’, ‘Access’ and ‘Contact history’. You will see these tabs whenever you view the profile of a member.

For each of these tabs you can give or deny access to a role. You can do this by going to the tab and clicking on ‘Add’. Behind ‘Role’, type the name of the role which you want to give or deny access. Choose the correct role from the given suggestions. Then indicate if you want to give or deny access to the role behind ‘Access’.

A tab to which no restrictions have been added, can be accessed by all roles with access to the Organization Application. If you have added a role to a tab, all other roles are denied access to it and must be added to the tab for access.
