Backups

Back-ups of your Genkgo environment can be found in the element ‘Backups’ in the system settings. Here you can make backups yourself and resore earlier backups. If you want to make big changes in your environment, for example in the members file, it is useful to make a backup prior to making those changes. If anything goes wrong when you are working on the changes, you can simply restore your backup.

To make a backup, click on ‘Make a backup’ in the toolbar. The system will immediately make a backup. When the backup is ready, it will appear in the overview. The overview displays the date and time on which backups were made and whether they can be restored. To restore a backup, click on ‘Restore backup’ under ‘Options’. You will be asked if you are sure you want to restore the backup. Click on ‘Restore backup’ to confirm or on ‘Back’ to cancel.

Important! If you made a mistake in the Organization Application and decide to restore a backup, all changes in other applications will also be undone. You can only make and restore backups of the entire system.
