E-mail

The element ‘Email’ in the system settings can be used to check the status of sent e-mails and to manage a blacklist and whitelist of e-mail addresses. The element consists of four tabs: Delivered, Not yet delivered, Blacklist and Whitelist.

Delivered

In the tab ‘Delivered’ you can find an overview of all e-mails that were sent from the system and were delivered to the recipient. You can see the e-mail addresses of the sender and the recipient, the number of attempts to deliver the e-mail and the date on which the e-mail was sent. You can search for e-mails with the search bar on the top of the screen.

Not (yet) delivered

The tab ‘Not (yet) delivered’ contains an overview of e-mails that were not delivered for various reasons. Next to the sender, recipient, number of attempts and the date, you can also see the reason why the e-mail was not delivered. Examples of reasons are ‘Address does not exist’, ‘Sender domain not verified’, of ‘address on the blacklist’. You can search for e-mails with the search bar on the top of the screen.

Blacklist

The tab ‘Blacklist’ contains an overview of all e-mail addresses that are on the blacklist. An e-mail address will be added to the blacklist if, in the past four months, e-mails could not be delivered to this address for the reason ‘Address does not exist’ for at least three times. After four months, another attempt to send the e-mail will be made. After three failed attempts, the e-mail address will be added to the blacklist again.

You can use the blacklist to keep your administration up to date. If de addresses on the blacklist indeed don’t exist, you can clear the list. This means that all e-mail addresses on the blacklist will be removed from the Organization Application. To do this, click on ‘Clear e-mail addresses’. Then click ‘Clear now’ to confirm or ‘Back’ to cancel.

Whitelist

In the tab ‘Whitelist’, you can take addresses off the blacklist by adding them to the whitelist. To do this, click on ‘Add address’ in the toolbar. Enter the correct e-mail address and click on ‘Add’ to confirm or ‘Back’ to cancel.

To delete an address from the whitelist, click on  behind the e-mail address you want to delete from the whitelist. The address will be deleted immediately.
