Favicon
The favicon is the tiny image displayed next to the webadres. For some websites it is possible to set it up yourself. The favicon settings are reached by going to the 'Settings' in the 'Website' application and then selecting 'Favicon'.
On the first page the different icons will be displayed. How these look is determined by the settings which are possible to change after clicking the pencil.
The first thing that is possible to set up is the icon itself. This can be uploaded as a PNG file in the 'Icon (.png)' parameter. Hold into account that the image will be displayed very small, so there need to be very few details in it.
Next, at the 'Overwrite background of icon' parameter, it is possible to overwrite the background of the icon. This could be usefull if the favicon is difficult to see in some browsers because the favicon is very light or dark. Often the color white will be chosen as the background color. To overwrite the background the option Leave as is needs to be corrected to Overwrite. By clicking on the color bar a screen will be shown where some standard colors will be visible. After clicking on the plus icon it will be possible to select a color yourself or to add a hex colorcode.
After that, the 'Theme color' and 'Tile color' have to be set up. The 'Theme color' is applied by Apple to their status bar, which is shown whilst having the website open. The 'Tile color' is applied on a Microsoft Tile icon.
