Add video with embed code

To add a video with embed code, it is important that the external source is added to the permitted sources. You can do this in the element Website settings → External sources.

1. Go to the source of the video that you want to add to the website.
2. Copy the embed code. Usually you can find this under ‘Share’.
3. Go to the location in the Admin where you want to add the video. In the toolbar of the text editor (in the module ‘Text’ or ‘Content’), click on the button for ‘Embed media’, which you can recognize by the icon of a film roll.
4. Paste the copied embed code in the screen that appears.
5. Click ‘OK’ to confirm.

Placing a video file

It is also possible to upload a video from your local computer. Make sure that your video was first uploaded to the Files Application. Learn how to upload files to the Files Application.

1. Go to the the page on which you want to place the video.
2. In the text editor, go to the exact place where the video should be placed.
3. In the toolbar, click on ‘Insert HTML5 video’, the icon with the play button.
4. You will see a pop-up. Click on ‘Browse server’. You will see another pup-up.
5. Navigate to the video and select it. Confirm by clicking on ‘choose this file’. The pop-up will close.
6. Click on ‘OK’ in the underlying pop-up.
7. Save the page with ‘save’.

The video has been placed on the web page.
